Privacy Policy

Overview

mdpeek (the "App") is developed by an individual developer. We commit that the App does not collect, store, or transmit any user data to any server.

Data Collection

The App contains no data collection whatsoever, specifically:

No analytics components
No advertising or tracking components
No crash report uploads
No requests for personal information
No network data transmission

Local Data

All data produced by the App stays on your device only, including:

The Markdown documents you open (existing solely as files on your disk)
App settings (config.json) and recent-items / reading-position history (history.json), stored in the system application data directory

You can erase all of this at any time by deleting those files or uninstalling the App.

Note on Network Permission

The App includes a local service listening only on the loopback address (127.0.0.1) used to render documents inside the App. This service is not exposed to the local network or the internet, and never communicates with any external server.

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect any information from children and has no capability to do so.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
